Grant requests must: (1) Help the needy and underprivileged in Singapore meet a need; (2) Be based in Singapore (initiatives outside the country will not be considered); (3) Clearly depict identified gaps or needs and articulate how the programme addresses them; (4) Provide a concise explanation of the current problem and how the programme’s results will solve it.

The process includes: Step 1 – Proposal submission to AMF; Step 2 – Assessment by AMF; Step 3 – Decision by AMF; Step 4 – Grant disbursement; Step 5 – Progress/Utilisation report submission to AMF.
