Overview
Beyond the Label (BTL) is a nationwide movement that tackles mental health stigma and promotes inclusion for persons with mental health conditions. Led by TOUCH Community Services, it galvanises schools, workplaces, and community partners to foster a supportive, stigma-free environment.
Key features and support:
- Awareness and education: Mobile exhibitions, community roadshows, and a three-episode web series that address mental health at home, school, and work
- Community engagement: Mental health-friendly neighbourhood initiatives that collaborate with local efforts, including workshops and training
- Workplace and school programmes: Corporate mental wellness workshops and school talks/classroom-based workshops on topics like self-care, resilience, mindfulness, stress and anger management
- Information access: Belle, the BTL Helpbot (available 24/7 on browser, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp) to help users find mental health helplines and services across Singapore
- Inclusivity and peer support: Public education to equip people with peer support skills and encourage early help-seeking
All activities are fully funded and offered free of charge, with options to tailor programmes to organisational needs.
