Youth Guidance Outreach Services (YGOS) runs Diversionary Programmes as an Integrated Service Provider (ISP) designated by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to prevent offending, rehabilitate youths involved in minor offences or gang association, and divert suitable young persons from the criminal justice system.

Key components:

  • Streetwise Programme (SWP) / Enhanced Streetwise Programme (ESWP): 6‑month preventive and rehabilitative programme for youths who associate with gangs or have minor roles in gang-related offences
  • Guidance Programme (GP) / Positive Adolescent Sexuality Treatment (GP P.A.S.T): 6‑month pre‑Court diversionary programme for first‑time juvenile offenders who have committed minor offences
  • Triage: Assessment interviews by social workers to complement police investigations and identify youths suitable for diversion from the criminal justice system
