Overview

Connect2 Marriage Preparation is a 3-session hybrid (online and in-person) workshop by Focus on the Family Singapore designed to help couples build a strong marital foundation in the early years. It supports couples who are considering marriage, engaged, or in their first year of marriage with practical skills and tools to strengthen their relationship.

Key features:

  • Three guided sessions covering love and vows, communication and conflict resolution, finances, sexual intimacy, romance, family planning, and managing expectations with in-laws, children, and work-life balance
  • Facilitated by trained husband–wife facilitator teams with group discussions (6–10 couples) and couple activities
  • Includes Couple Checkup (online relationship assessment), participants’ workbooks, marriage resources, and access to an English-speaking licensed solemniser if required
  • Offers a $170 MSF rebate upon completion (subject to conditions) and potential subsidies (subject to approval)

Format and schedule:

  • Session 1 and 2: Online via Zoom (evenings)
  • Session 3: In-person at Focus on the Family Singapore office (morning)

Eligibility details

Who should attend: couples considering marriage, engaged couples, and couples in their first year of marriage. To qualify for the $170 MSF rebate: both parties must be above 21 years old, at least one party must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, and there must be full attendance at all sessions.

How to apply

Register online via the Connect2 Marriage Preparation Workshop page on the Focus on the Family Singapore website by selecting an available date and completing the registration and payment. Apply for subsidies during registration (subject to approval). Upon full completion and meeting criteria, the $170 rebate will be processed in about 1–2 months. For changes, request a transfer at least 5 working days before the workshop start date; no refunds for cancellations or no-shows after confirmation.
