Overview

SANA offers community-based recovery and family support programmes for persons-in-recovery (PIRs) and their loved ones, as well as families of inmates.

  • SANAbration: Twice-yearly holiday events that bring PIRs and their family members together for recreational bonding and pro-social peer support.
  • S.A.M Interest Groups (Sports, Art, Music): Regular evening groups at Step-Up @ Sengkang for PIRs and their next of kin to participate in healthy, expressive activities that foster coping, self-reflection and well-being.
    • Sports: Healthy outlet to manage triggers and stress while building teamwork.
    • Art: Creative space to express emotions and support self-reflection.
    • Music: Medium for emotional expression and healing.
  • Yellow Ribbon Community Project (YRCP): Islandwide initiative that engages families of inmates through home visits and phone check-ins, provides befriending and directs them to appropriate support services. Volunteers are trained and recognized to ensure quality support and sustained engagement.
