Eligibility details
- Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents born in 1980 or later are automatically covered from 1 October 2020 or when they turn 30, whichever is later.
- Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents born in 1979 or earlier can choose to join if they are not severely disabled.
- Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents born between 1970 and 1979, insured under ElderShield 400 and not severely disabled, will be auto-enrolled from December 2021.
How to apply
Automatic coverage for eligible individuals. Those born in 1979 or earlier can opt in if not severely disabled. Auto-enrolment for those born 1970-1979 and insured under ElderShield 400.
