Overview

NCIS Dream Makers is a wish-fulfilment initiative by the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) that supports adult patients with advanced or late-stage cancers.

  • Helps NCIS patients with serious, potentially terminal cancers realise meaningful personal dreams (e.g., family staycations, special meals, trips, reunions) to enhance quality of life beyond clinical care.
  • Provides hope, encouragement, and positive memories for patients and their loved ones during challenging phases of illness.
  • Delivered by NCIS staff and volunteers (healthcare professionals, NGOs, corporates, and community volunteers) who plan, organise, and execute each patient’s dream.
  • Complements patients’ ongoing medical and palliative care with psychosocial and emotional support through tailored experiences.
  • Facilitates community and corporate partnerships and donations to make dreams possible.

Eligibility details

If you are an NCIS patient, speak to your NCIS healthcare staff about your wish. Eligible patients are referred by NCIS healthcare professionals to the NCIS Dream Makers team, who will review the request and contact you regarding next steps.
