Overview
Youth Action Challenge (YAC) is a National Youth Council initiative that powers youth-led change in Singapore by providing funding support and platforms to develop and scale community impact projects.
- Offers a suite of year-round Youth Action Grants tailored to different stages of the changemaking journey, including Microgrant (up to $1,000), Young ChangeMakers (YCM) Grant (up to $3,000 or $5,000), and Youth Action Grant (YAG) (up to $70,000)
- Focuses on empowering youths to move ideas into action, grow seed projects, and scale initiatives for sustained impact rather than one-off events
- Brings together youths, community organisations, government agencies, and private/philanthropic partners through Impact, IRL — a one-day marketplace to spark collaborations and support
- Provides opportunities for public engagement and additional funding via participatory budgeting and pitch sessions
- Builds on earlier YAC seasons (2020–2025) that nurtured youth-led initiatives across mental health, environment & sustainability, inclusivity and vulnerable communities

Eligibility details
Applications are open to Singaporean and Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) youths aged 15 to 35 years old, including individuals, informal ground-up groups, and youth-led registered organisations incorporated for up to 5 years.
Projects for this application window should be implemented from 30th November 2026 onwards.
How to apply
- Explore the initiative and register for Impact, IRL to learn more and connect with partners.
- Apply for the relevant grant call (Microgrant applications to be made at Impact, IRL; YCM and YAG via their respective application links).
- For YAG, submit during the application window (e.g., 25 July–31 August 2026).
- If shortlisted, pitch your project to a panel (e.g., at Impact, IRL) and participate in public voting via Participatory Budgeting where applicable.
- Successful teams receive the awarded funding to develop and scale their projects.
