Taxi Subsidy Scheme
Subsidy for taxi travel for persons with disabilities.
Overview
The Taxi Subsidy Scheme (TSS) provides means-tested subsidies for persons with permanent disabilities who are medically certified as unable to take public transport and are totally dependent on taxis for travel to:
- School
- Work
- Employment-related training supported by SG Enable
Key Features:
- Subsidy rates depend on citizenship, household income, and travel distance
- Covers the total taxi fare, including surcharges
Eligibility:
- Must submit relevant documents and a Disability Verification Form
Processing Time:
- Applications are processed within 15 working days upon complete submission

Eligibility details
- Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Certified to have a permanent disability (physical disability requiring assistance with at least 1 of 6 Activities of Daily Living, or moderate visual impairment or worse in the better eye)
- Disability Verification Form completed by a registered Healthcare Professional
- Currently schooling, working, or attending employment-related training supported by SG Enable
- Monthly Per Capita Household Income (PCHI) of $3,600 and below
- Annual Value (AV) of residence on NRIC of $21,000 and below for households with no income
- Required documents: Applicant's NRIC (front and back), Parent/Guardian's NRIC if <21 years old, Bank Book/Statement, means test form (if not done in past year), school/employer/training provider details, Disability Verification Form
How to apply
Apply online via eService using SingPass, or email tss@sgenable.sg. Submit required documents including NRIC, bank statement, means test form, school/employer/training provider details, and Disability Verification Form completed by a registered Healthcare Professional. Application processed within 15 working days upon complete submission. TSS Card sent out within 2-4 weeks upon approval.
