MWS Active Ageing Centres
MWS Active Ageing Centres provide community-based programmes, wellness activities, befriending, screenings, and information/referral to support seniors (60+) to age actively at home and in their neighbourhoods. Many activities are free, with small fees for some programmes or gym use.
Overview
MWS Active Ageing Centre – Fernvale Rivergrove is a community hub for seniors, supporting their ability to age at home and in their neighbourhood.
The centre aims to improve seniors' quality of life by enhancing their:
- Physical
- Social
- Emotional
- Psychological well-being
This is achieved through:
- Activities
- Door-to-door home visits
- Asset-based community development
Seniors are encouraged to:
- Participate
- Lead
- Run activities
This fosters active ageing and community involvement.

What you receive
Eligibility details
- Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 60 years and above
- Reside within the service boundary of the respective Active Ageing Centre
- Fees: Many activities are free; some programmes by external vendors and gym usage may have a small fee
- For home befriending care: referral from a healthcare provider or contact AIC (1800 650 6060; enquiries@aic.sg)
How to apply
- Walk in to your nearest MWS Active Ageing Centre within your residential service boundary and sign up for activities, or call the centre to enquire
- Check programme availability on the MWS “What’s On” page
- For befriending care for a homebound senior: obtain a referral from a healthcare provider familiar with the senior’s condition, or contact the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) at 1800 650 6060 or enquiries@aic.sg
