Overview

This programme provides a safe, supervised setting for parents and caregivers to rebuild connections with children who have been placed in alternative care. Operating under the Ministry of Social & Family Development’s Protective Service (PSV), it focuses on healing relationships while ensuring child safety.

  • Supervised access and handovers to enable safe parent–child contact
  • On-site support by parenting coaches, counsellors and social workers during sessions
  • Parent and/or child counselling to address trauma and strengthen relationships
  • Parenting programmes to build positive child management and parenting strategies
  • Case conferences with professionals to align care and reunification plans
  • Structured activities, conversations and games to promote bonding
  • Debriefing with parents/caregivers to reinforce strengths and guide improvements
  • Guidance for urgent situations, including reporting suspected child abuse via national helplines
