The Family Bereavement Services Program by Sikh Welfare Council (SIWEC) offers comprehensive support to bereaved families:

  • Social, emotional, spiritual, and financial assistance during bereavement
  • Help with funeral arrangements:

 – Hearse services

 – Cremation

 – Ceremonial guidance

 – Final rites

  • Grief counseling:

 – Individual sessions

 – Informal support groups

  • 24-hour hotline for immediate connection to Welfare Officers

Eligibility details

Bereaved families or individuals experiencing the loss of a loved one. Required document: Death Certificate (to be forwarded to SIWEC Officer).

How to apply

Contact the SIWEC 24-hour hotline at 6299 9234 for immediate assistance. Forward a copy of the Death Certificate to the SIWEC Officer. Families can also seek support and guidance from Welfare Officers or join informal support groups.
