Overview

MediSave Care Overview

  • Eligible for Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents aged 30 and above with severe disabilities
  • Withdraw up to $200 monthly (or $2,400 yearly) from MediSave to support long-term care needs
  • If applicant’s MediSave is insufficient, spouse’s MediSave can be used (combined maximum: $200 monthly)
  • Withdrawal amount depends on MediSave balance

 – Minimum $5,000 MediSave required for eligibility

  • Assessment by MOH-accredited assessor is required

 – Severe disability: inability to perform at least 3 out of 6 activities of daily living

Eligibility details

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Aged 30 and above
  • Assessed by an MOH-accredited assessor to be unable to perform at least three out of six activities of daily living (washing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility indoors, transferring)
  • Minimum MediSave balance of $5,000
  • Severe disability assessment required

How to apply

  1. Contact a Ministry of Health-accredited severe disability assessor for assessment.
  2. Login to AIC's e-Service portal (eFASS) with Singpass to apply.
  3. If eligible, withdrawal limits are set based on MediSave balance and can be supplemented by spouse's MediSave if needed.
