Project PARI provides monthly pocket money and holistic development opportunities for teenage girls from lower-income families, with extended support in tertiary education through Project PARI PLUS. Overview

Project PARI is the flagship service project of the Zonta Club of Singapore that supports teenage girls from lower-income families to build confidence, skills and aspirations.

Key features and benefits:

  • Monthly pocket money: S$75 for secondary school awardees; S$100 for Project PARI PLUS awardees in tertiary institutions, to help with basic expenses like meals and transport
  • Life-skills and enrichment: Workshops on self-awareness, confidence, communication, dining etiquette, hygiene, and other personal development topics
  • Exposure and experiences: Visits to places of interest, team-building activities, treks and dance classes to broaden perspectives and build tenacity
  • Leadership and STEM opportunities: Engagements with corporations for leadership/motivation activities and exposure to STEM fields
  • Training and work attachments: Opportunities with corporate partners to gain real-world experience
  • Advocacy participation: Involvement in Zonta’s “Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women” events focusing on issues like bullying, mental wellness and resilience
  • Continuity through PARI PLUS: Extended support for graduating cohorts and alumni in tertiary education
