24-hour emotional support for suicide crisis and bereavement.

Overview

SOS provides 24-hour emotional support for individuals in distress through:

  • Hotline
  • WhatsApp text-line
  • Email

Services include:

  • Crisis intervention
  • Suicide prevention
  • Bereavement counselling
  • Support groups for those affected by suicide
  • Follow-up for high-risk individuals

Counselling and support groups are available by appointment.

All services are staffed by trained volunteers and professional counsellors.

SOS also offers training and consultation for agencies and organisations affected by suicide cases.

Eligibility details

Services are available to individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts, those who have lost someone to suicide, and those in crisis. Support groups require an intake session for suitability assessment. Counselling and support groups are by appointment only.
